In week five, the Bills suffered an embarrassing defeat handed to them by the San Francisco 49ers, the loss went down as the Bills second loss in a row, and resulted in their defense now being the worst ranked defense in the NFL. The Bills are currently giving up 35.2 points per game, and have given up a total of 97 points in their last two games. The Bills were close to being 3-1 prior to a late game collapse against the Patriots in week 4, but their poor play at the end of that game carried over into week 5 where they lost to the 49ers by the score of 3-45.

This week the Buffalo Bills will look to turn their season back around, but it won’t be an easy task, standing in their way is the 4-1 Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have been a major surprise during the 2012 NFL Season, but their good record is a result of their defense playing well and their offense not turning the ball over, which is a combination that will almost always result in wins. The Bills on the other hand have been struggling on defense, and have also been having problems with turnovers lately, which is why they lost their last two games the way they did. The Bills can beat the Cardinals, but they will need Jackson and Spiller to both play well, and be safe with the ball. Additionally, the Cardinals will be searching for a running back today as a result of injuries at the RB position to the Cardinals, so forcing the Cardinals to try and attack through the air would be a great approach, but they must have an answer for Fitzgerald if that’s what they plan on doing.
