Week 7: Buffalo Bills to Host Tennessee Titans

Today at 1:00pm EST, the Buffalo Bills be looking to keep pace with whatever teams in the AFC East improve to 4-3. Currently the Bills are tied for first place with every team in their division, however because of their 0-2 record within the division, they are technically in last place. Today they will be hosting the Tennessee Titans at Ralph Wilson Stadium, and the game will be locally broadcast on CBS. The Titans will again be without their starting quarterback, Jake Locker, and Matt Hasselbeck will be their starter. Additionally, despite the fact that Chris Johnson has been doing horrible this year and is only averaging 3.3 yards per carry, we must also consider that the Bills have the worst ranked run defense in the 2012 NFL season, and Chris Johnson has been averaging 4.3 yards per carry over his last three games.

I’ve said this for just about every game this season, but will continue to say it until the Buffalo Bills can prove they can win another way, they must avoid careless turnovers, and they must be able to get their running game going against the Titans and their 24th ranked rushing defense. With C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson both healthy and playing without rust, the Bills should be able to attack the Titans via the ground using a heave dose of both Jackson and Spiller. Additionally, as they have done in the past, they will likely line up Spiller at receiver when Jackson is lined up at running back in order to have both on the field at the same time. The Bills can’t rely only on their offense though, if they can get in Hasselbeck’s face early and often with their pass rush, they may be able to force the old man into throwing some passes the Bills way!
